The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area, with hazardous conditions expected to begin around 12:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026.
Due to this developing weather system and the likelihood of dangerous travel conditions, Panola Public Schools will transition to distance learning on:
- Friday, January 23, 2026
- Monday, January 26, 2026
This decision was made to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families.
Students will be sent home with distance learning packets on Thursday, January 22. Teachers will also provide guidance through their normal communication platforms. Students should follow the instructions in their packets and any additional directions from their teachers.
We will continue to monitor conditions closely and will communicate any further updates as needed.
